Children and families are more than welcome at Casa Iara. Children 2 years and under stay free of charge, and children under 12 can receive discounted rates (please contact us directly.)
We are located on the river side of Itamambuca beach, which is an absolute paradise for children. We also have children's toys, board games and books in our shared living room; and our garden is fully fenced in and safe for kids. While we do have a shared TV, please note that we do not have televisions in individual rooms.
Yes! We accept well-socialized pets at Casa Iara. We often have dogs, cats and children on the property, so your pet must get along with everyone if they come and stay.
If you plan to bring a pet, please speak to us directly before making your booking, as we limit the number of animals onsite at one time.
Please note: none of the beaches on the São Paulo coastline allow dogs.
We are located in the Vila de Itamambuca, a ten minute walk (or three minute bike ride) to the beach on the river side — which you have to cross in order to get to the sand. While it is tide dependent, the river is normal ankle to thigh high, has no current and is a lovely way to access the beach.
If you prefer to access from the beach side, it's a ten minute bike ride or a seven minute drive via the Condominio de Itamambuca to the sand.
Yes! We frequently receive surf camps, yoga retreats, birthdays and other celebrations. We are happy to help you organize your special event or retreat if you book with us. Please contact us directly if you are booking for ten or more people.
Please note that we do not offer day rentals at this time.

Daily breakfast made with locally sourced ingredients is included in our room rate. Outside of breakfast, we offer access to our communal kitchen where you can cook your own meals; as well as recommendations for our favorite local restaurants.
